What stays important
Factory feel still matters.
A good BMW retrofit should feel clean in the cabin and should be checked around the original BMW controls. Before booking, ask what happens to the factory BMW menu, steering wheel controls, parking display, audio route and iDrive controller.

- Do steering wheel controls and iDrive controls remain usable where supported?

- Is the route being checked from VIN and iDrive photos, not just the badge?

Send the setup before buying parts.
